Protect yourself from Fraud

Protect yourselves from financial fraud by following some simple prevention strategies.

For example, it is important to do thorough background checks on those you're dealing with. Be sure of all possible parameters before wiring money to a seller.

Double check monthly financial statements with your bank in case you find charges you don't recognize. Verify health supplements with your doctor before taking them.

Take care to not deposit checks and wire money back. The responsibility for depositing a fake check rests on you. Do not send money to anyone you don't know well. Never share your personal financial information with anybody.

Our San Antonio Bankruptcy Attorney has created the below infographic to help you to a handy list of Dos and Donts to prevent fraud. How to get a Free Credit Report

Its important to know how to check your credit . A credit report includes information on where you live, how you pay your bills, and whether you’ve been sued or have filed for bankruptcy. You are entitled to a free credit report every year.

Only one website, http://www.annualcreditreport.com,  is authorized to fill orders for the free annual credit report you are entitled to under law. Other websites that claim to offer free credit reports, are not endorsed by the US Govt. and "may" even be scams.
